In 2021, Reka Cables produced solar electricity 114 MWh, and the avoidance of carbon dioxide emissions was 15 tons.
Reka Cables is committed to decreasing its carbon footprint. During the summer 2020, solar panels were installed at the production plants in Keuruu and Riihimäki, Finland. They started producing electricity in September 2020. A total of 675 solar panels were installed on the walls of the production plants.
“Investing in solar energy is not only environmentally friendly but also economically viable and, together with CO2-free electricity, they are solid environmental acts,” says Anne Tillgren, Production Director at Reka Cables.
The diploma was given by Solarigo Systems Oy.
